The Sultanate of Oman Participates in the Meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI)

The Sultanate of Oman, represented by State Audit Institution, participates in the 68th meeting of the Executive Council of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI), which is hosted by the General Court of Audit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during November (27-28) 2024. The delegation of the Sultanate of Oman is headed by His Excellency Sheikh Ghuson bin Hilal Al-Alawi, Chairman of State Audit Institution, With the participation of Their Excellencies heads of delegations of the SAIs members of the Executive Council and the General Assembly.
During the meeting, the report of the Executive Council Chairman on the Council’s activities since the 67th meeting was reviewed, along with the report of the Secretariat General on its activities during the same period. Additionally, several reports from the committees of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) were reviewed, including those from the Institutional Capacity Building Committee, the Professional and Audit Standards Committee, the Sustainable Development Goals Auditing Committee, the Information Technology Oversight Committee, the Strategic Plan Committee, the Follow-up Committee, and the Technical Standing Committee on the Journal of Financial Control.
The 68th meeting of the Executive Council concludes its work by approving the final account for 2023 and the estimated budget for 2025, as well as discussing the initiative to designate a day to celebrate Arab audit work, in addition to considering the Cooperation Agreement with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), in addition to approving the interim and final assessments.
