With the Participation of 23 Government Entities from North and South Al Sharqiyah Governorates State Audit Institution Implements the Training Program “Sustainability of Government Investments in the Governorates” in the Wilayat of Sur

State Audit Institution is implementing the training program "Sustainability of Government Investments in the Governorates" from 20-22 October for the third group in the North and South Al Sharqiyah Governorates, with the participation of general directors, directors and internal audit employees as well as employees concerned with project and investment management.
Consultant Abdullah bin Nasser bin Saif Al-Bakry sponsored the opening of the training program. Abdullah bin Said bin Abdullah Al-Harasi, Director of the Department for Financial and Administrative Audit in North and South Al-Sharqiyah Governorates, delivered the program opening speech, in which he pointed out the keenness of the Institution to achieve sustainable development goals and build bridges of trust between the State and its various institutions and society. Additionally, he referred to the Institution’s keenness towards integration and effective partnership with all entities subject to its audit, which enhances efficiency of using national resources, protects public fund and avoids conflicts of interest.
The program is part of a series of training programs implemented by the Institution in the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman in areas related to its responsibilities.
The training program aims at enabling participants to understand the strategic direction of sustaining government investments in the governorates, and building professional capacities in evaluating and following up investments, in addition to promoting the capabilities of employees in detecting fraud and corruption in the development projects, as well as dealing with public fund crimes. The program includes a number of interactive work sessions, and is delivered by an elite group of trainers from the Institution’s national competencies.
