Among the Best Government Entities in Implementing Open Government Data Policy Honoring State Audit Institution at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology Meeting

State Audit Institution was honored by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for implementing the open data policy and principles under the government digital transformation program on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The honor took place at the meeting organized by the Ministry, the supervisor of government digital transformation program represented by the National Center for Space, AI and Advanced Technologies, in the presence of representatives from units of State administrative apparatus.
State Audit Institution is keen to implement the open government data policy approved by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology. The policy focuses on defining basic open data standards and unify the orientation in making available and releasing government open data. By releasing open data, State Audit Institution aims to adopt best practices in the field of information collection and dissemination, facilitate data availability for users to benefit from, and enhance information transparency, as well as to contribute to knowledge spread to raise the government readiness index in artificial intelligence.
Moreover, State Audit Institution provides its open data at SAI official website which is classified into three main categories: the first category is concerned with audit and anti-corruption and includes data of complaints and entities subject to SAI audit. The second category includes data of audit manuals and standards, while the third category contains information and awareness data represented in news, audio production, visual production, electronic and print publications.
It is worth noting that within the framework of SAI keenness to achieve and apply digital transformation, SAI Complaints and Reports Window has been recently listed among the best distinguished Arab practices within ENACT project organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).
