State Audit Institution Implements an Awareness Session at the General Authority of Civil Aviation

      State Audit Institution carried out an awareness session on national roles and institutional partnership in the protection of public fund and integrity promotion, for the employees of the General Authority of Civil Aviation on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the Authority’s headquarters, in the presence of specialists from SAI.

      During the session, Faisal bin Hamood Al-Hasni, Director of Legal Affairs Department, and Abdullah bin Sulaiman Al-Saidi, Director of Legal Studies Department reviewed the laws regulating the work of SAI and the roles of SAI in protecting public fund and promoting integrity. In addition, they discussed the crimes committed against public fund and the punishments prescribed therefor, and they also went through financial declaration and annual disclosure forms.

      Furthermore, the session reviewed the Code of Conduct for Civil Employees in the units of State administrative apparatus and the chapters contained therein. The session also highlighted aspects of added value and audit impact of SAI work whether in financial aspects or in legislation review and correction of procedures. The session reviewed some statistics and samples of observations contained in the community brief.

      Also, the session addressed the institutional roles in the protection of public fund and clarified the mechanism followed in dealing with complains and reports as well as the tools provided by SAI to submit them. At the end of the session, participants were given the opportunity to raise inquiries and suggestions and receive answer thereto
