State Audit Institution Conducts a Training Program on Tenders, Contracts & Procurement Audit for the Sixth Group in Al-Dhakhiliya & Al-Wusta Governorates

State Audit Institution conducts a training program on tenders, contracts and procurement audit, during the period (22-24) August, at Higher Judicial Institute in Nizwa. The sixth group of the program includes a number of employees from the departments and sections of internal audit, and financial affairs, as well as relevant departments for state administrative apparatus units at Al-Dhakhiliya & Al-Wusta Governorates.
The program was under the patronage of Raid bin Abdullah bin Said Al Salhi, Director General of the Directorate General of Administrative and Financial Affairs.
Said bin Salim bin Said Al-Hajri, Director of the Training Center, began the program by delivering SAI speech, emphasizing that the program implementation for the sixth group comes within the existing coordination between the Institution and state administrative apparatus units in on training and capacity building. It aims to raise professional awareness and activate institutional partnership towards protecting public fund, by providing employees with relevant knowledge and skills, indicating that the program was prepared and implemented based on IDI methodology. The program will include multiple practical sessions that will be implemented by trainers certified by the Institution.
The program seeks to identify the provisions and principles of Tender Law and its executive regulations, enrich the knowledge of the participants with all aspects related to the controls of government tenders, and enable them to understand the aspects of violations in the various tendering stages. The program further aims to enable participants to identify best professional practices in procurement and contracts and tighten control over them, and to familiarize themselves with rules regulating government procurement, and general contract management principles as well as provide them with contracting methods
